8th Grade Band Rehearsal Night at Pope
Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011* 4:15-7:00 pm
* this date is a change from the Band Handbook calendar

Join us for a fun afternoon with the Pope Band. Stay after school for pizza and to rehearse stands tunes for 8th Grade Night with your Pope section leaders. Then we'll take a bus to Pope to watch rehearsal and meet the rest of the band. Parent pickup is at 7 pm at Pope.

The annual 8th Grade Band Night at Pope povides students the opportunity to meet
section leaders, march into the stadium with the Pope Band, perform the National Anthem, play stands tunes, and watch Pope's halftime show. Dinner will be provided. Uniform is jeans, Pope Band t-shirt (provided), and a light jacket.

A mixer and Band preview for all 8th grade band students will take place on _______ at 7pm in the Pope Band Room. Pope directors, students, and band parents will be there to share valuable class schedule information, answer questions about high school, and welcome rising freshmen to the Pope Band Family.

Fall 2012 Pope Band Class Placement

All freshmen will be placed in the same band class for 1st semester. This will allow students to acclimate to their new band family and strengthen their fundamentals.
