Jazz Band Performance Evaluation
Jazz
Band
Performance
Evaluation
is
a GMEA sponsored
event where students are
evaluated on their jazz performance. This is the most
important jazz band performance of the year - our "Jazz Band
CRCT".
Students
perform
for
a
panel
of three judges and an audience
of family, friends, and peers from other bands. The judges
provide insightful comments and an overall grade
(I = Superior,
II = Excellent, III = Good, IV = Fair, V = Poor). These judges
are respected authorities in the world of jazz.
An
important
part
of
Jazz
Band Performance Evaluation is
watching other
bands. Depending on our assigned time, we will watch bands either
before
warm-up or after we play.
